3 Best Hotels in Clemson SC for a remarkable stay

Whether you are a bougie or a budget traveler, here are some suggestions for the best hotels in Clemson SC. Most of these hotels aren’t part of big chains, but the experience of staying in these is well worth the price you’re paying.

Inn at Patrick Square Clemson, SC

Inn at Patrick Square: Best Boutique Hotel in Clemson SC

Address: 115 Market St, Clemson, SC

Pros: Gorgeous property, with plush beds and high-end furniture. You’ll never want to leave the room. Views of the mountains from the room (depending on where your room is located). Plenty of free parking.
Cons:
No gym or pool available on-site

The Inn at Patrick Square is posh. From the minute you park outside and look at the building, you’ll know that the property is 4-star material. However, the price for a room at the hotel isn’t as expensive as you’d think. On non-game weekdays, the hotel is around $150 a night, which is the price of a mid-range hotel.

With every room, you’ll stay in a plush bed, and it’s honestly so hard for me to get up in the morning since that bed is just the best thing ever.

The room has a leather couch that converts into another bed, should your kids want to have a mini staycation in the hotel.

Lakeside Lodge Clemson, SC

Lakeside Lodge Clemson: Best Amenities in Clemson SC

Address: 13500 Clemson Blvd, Seneca, SC

Pros: Gorgeous lakefront property with balcony seating (depending on room type). Large property size where one can go on a small lakefront hike. Pool and gym onsite.
Cons:
The gym can get busy, especially if teams are staying onsite.

For those who want to stay closer to the University premises, Lakeside Lodge is a solid choice. It has amazing views of Lake Hartwell and lakefront trails you can do.

There’s an outdoor pool overlooking the lake, and fire pits are lit up each evening. It has all the amenities you could think of, including a fitness center and water fountains on the first floor to fill your reusable bottles.

It even has a restaurant on-site. Traditions on the Lake serves American cuisine, and as the name suggests, has seats overlooking the lake. Perfect for a dinner out.

Some rooms have balconies, and even better is if you can get a lakeside view. Sit on your balcony and gaze out across the lake, and you’ll see Clemson University’s campus. What struck me the most was the stadium view.

The Shepherd Hotel Clemson, SC

The Shepherd Hotel – A Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Downtown Clemson, SC

Address: 110 Sloan St, Clemson, SC

Pros: Excellent location within walking distance to downtown and the Clemson campus. Cons: Like anything in college towns, expect inflated prices when there are home games, and during move-in and move-out weeks. No pool or fitness center on-site.

Located in Downtown Clemson, the Shepherd Hotel is the closest hotel you’ll get to Clemson University. Since the downtown area and the university seamlessly merge together, one can just walk down from the room and within a few minutes, be in downtown and end up at Clemson University. If you don’t like walking, there is public transportation (buses) that can take you from downtown to the university.

There is plenty of food and retail therapy that’s within steps from the hotel. From local coffee shops, sit-down places, sports bars, and even chain fast food stakes are all within a 5-10 minute walk. The shops in downtown are mostly Clemson-themed, but there’s always something for everyone.
