Lonely Planet Ultimate Travel List (Bottom 300)
In our original Lonely Planet Ultimate Travel List post, we break down the top 225 places to see in the Lonely Planet Book. Our list only had 180, which meant that we had cut a few of them from the original post because we have no intention of visiting them: either they are so remote (or expensive) to get to, or that it entails actually climbing up mountains or other tasks we are not particularly thrilled about. However, some of the places on the list intrigued us so much that we actually wanted to include them in our Travel & Adventure list (aka bucket list). Our first part of the…
Here’s what we did with 25 vacation days (in 2016)
Despite the implications of the title, “What We Did With Our 25 Vacation Days”, this is not a bragging post. We know that we’re lucky to work for a company which grants that many days off, especially in America. Rather, we just want to show how far you can stretch your days off and visit different places, and save some money in order to inspire you to do the same. Want to know how? It’s an impressive operation, and since we saw it first-hand today, my memories of it are pretty fresh. Is Graceland Worth Visiting? When you arrive, you have to pay a $10…
Is Owning a Timeshare a Good Investment?
When you hear the word timeshare, you probably think: bad investment, can’t sell them, high fees, low flexibility, outdated. And many more, I’m sure. They’ve made a few people very rich (the guy behind Westgate Resorts) and also infamous (same Westgate guy, who tried to build the greatest mansion in the world in Orlando and it went so bad Hollywood made a documentary out of it). Is a Timeshare a Good Investment? We recently took advantage of a timeshare offer from SPG’s Vistana Vacations to spend 4 nights in Los Cabos, Mexico at their Westin Los Cabos resort, and attended the obligatory 2-hour presentation by a friendly and charming salesperson. …
Spirit Airlines Review from a First-Timer
Have you ever wondered what it will be like to go to a random destination and not look back? One day as we were looking at Google Flights, Peter alerted me that a flight from Orlando (MCO) to Dallas via Spirit Airlines is around $80 round-trip. With my philosophy, I asked: “Why not?” and we booked it the same day!
