Schengen Visa Application for Philippine Passport (for Free)

Marrying a European meant that we do have to go to Europe every now and again to visit family or just go sightseeing. The problem with that is, I need to get a Schengen visa since I have a Philippine passport. Not to worry, did you know you can get a free Schengen visa application with a Philippine passport? There is a catch though – you’ll have to prove that your family member is a European citizen. The process is almost the same as a Schengen visa, but is easier because of the EU’s right to free movement, and of course, free and faster. Since there are not much articles…

Where We’ve Been: USA Travel Postcards

The Inspiration: USA Travel Postcards I got this idea from a friend’s Facebook page – where he made postcards from every city he’s every been. Great idea, right? This is the first out of many travel postcards we plan to make. The first is of USA Travel Postcards – where we currently live now! You too can use our photos as postcards if you wish, but if you do share it, please link or share back to our page as a thank you! These photos were taken by Ruby or Peter using either their camera phone or their camera, and act as the perfect souvenir for our website, so our…

    A Slovak-Philippine Wedding: Part 2 – Ceremony

A Slovak-Philippine Wedding: The Ceremony If you’re curious about our recent wedding, you can read about the first part here, which gives a brief background on how we met, how I proposed, and all about our preparation and plans for the big day. You can also look through all our wedding-related archives on this post. As promised, this is a three-part blog series about our wedding. This is the second part which focuses on our ceremony. We are blogging it because very few of Ruby’s families and friends managed to go to our wedding – and we’re trying to relive the moment by writing about it. Here goes! Peter’s Point…

    A Slovak-Philippine Wedding: Part 1

This is the first of a 3-part series on our wedding on May 28th, 2016, in Sarasota, FL. I met Ruby in October 2013, at our workplace in Jacksonville, FL. Ruby impressed me with her knowledge and love of travel, and I impressed Ruby by giving her free food for two weeks! So it was a win-win right from the start. I proposed in April 2015, in a real Slovakian castle (full story of the proposal here), and we decided to hold our wedding on Memorial Day weekend the following year, to give people an extra day off so they wouldn’t have to rush back home to work. So without…
