Things to do in Peppa Pig Florida (A Guide)

There’s a new theme park in Central Florida, the Peppa Pig theme park, conveniently located beside Legoland Florida. Our family has been lucky enough to visit this theme park a year after it opened. It is the first Peppa Pig theme park that opened and is themed to everything Peppa Pig. Even for non-fans of the cartoon, it is still a great place to visit. Here is a list of all the things to do in Peppa Pig Florida. 

Rides at Peppa Pig Florida Theme Park 

There are rides at Peppa Pig Florida’s theme park even though it is marketed for younger children. The minimum height requirement on some of the big rides is 36” (or three feet tall). If your child is above that height, then you can still go with them on all of the rides. They have height sizes for children as well as sensory levels for the rides. The sensory level guides are an excellent addition, one we haven’t seen in other parks before. Here are the rides at Peppa Pig Florida’s Theme park. 

Are there long lines to get on rides at Peppa Pig Florida? 

When we visited in April 2023, the lines were not long, maybe a maximum of 5 minutes. The longest wait we had to do was for Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure. However, it was only because there was a bigger group in front of us at the time. For everything else, we pretty much just waited for the ride to finish before we boarded for our turn. 

Best Ride in Peppa Pig Florida Theme Park: Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure

Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure is hands down, the best ride at Peppa Pig Florida in our opinion. You and your little one will ride a green dinosaur. It then takes you around a path that’s landscaped with dinosaur statues. My boy absolutely fell in love with this ride. He was so excited to wave and say hello to purple dinosaur, blue dinosaur, and yellow dinosaur. 

The ride is not fast and does not move up and down. It is purely a flat ride as the dinosaur rides on wheels around the other themed areas. Every green dinosaur you ride on moves individually, so you’re not sharing a ride with other people. Even though it is an individual ride, the line queue moves fairly quickly as it only revolves around the themed lands once.

There are also plenty of areas to take photos of the riders if you are a spectator. The fence is close enough to the ride and you can get really great pictures and videos as they pass by.  

Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride and Sand Pit

The pirate boat ride goes around a small pool and mimics the waves as you bob up and down the boat through the water. Two children and an adult can ride a boat at one time. The ride operator really makes it feel as if you are riding a pirate boat by hyping your family up with pirate talk before the start of the ride. 

In between the pirate boat and the dinosaur adventure ride is a pirate-themed sand pit that acts as a play area. As soon as our boy saw the sand play area after the ride, he immediately yelled sand castle, and was extremely hard to convince him to leave otherwise. The sand pit has an awning on top, so one can get a bit of shade, but it’s not enough if you’re there during the hottest hours of the day. There are plenty of buckets and shovels for the children to use (and share), as well as molds that they can use to help build their sand castles. 

Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster

Daddy Pig’s roller coaster is probably the most mature ride you could do in Peppa Pig’s Theme Park in Florida. It is an actual roller coaster with left and right turns, with slight inclines up and down, but it is not overly fast nor too scary for a 3-year-old to ride on. For older children, this may just be their best ride at the theme park. 

The line is not that long and is fun. The ride goes twice around the track, so is not overly long nor too terrifying for younger children. On the first iteration, our child was laughing so much, seeing as it was his first rollercoaster ride. By the second iteration around the track, he became a bit concerned and worried that it will go on longer and started saying he was a bit scared. 

We the parents had fun riding Daddy Pig’s roller coaster, the ride does not give the freefall feeling when riding grown-up coasters, but is great fun. The theming is also great, with daddy pig in the front of the rollercoaster and the cars all painted red. The queue area also has great theming that makes you think you are going inside the Pig’s family home. You do have to make a conscious decision to take photos of the queue area as you pass through since you won’t really need to wait that long for the ride. 

Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride 

Fancy seeing Peppa Pig’s Park from a higher point? Take a ride at Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride, where a family of 3 can sit in the same gondola as you are slowly whisked up and rotated, so you can see the park and the parking lot from your view. 

Since you are in a gondola, you can let the child sit on your lap as you point out various rides in the park. The ride does not rotate very fast, so you won’t get sick or dizzy, and the ride does not go up and down quickly to make it seem scary. This is our third favorite ride (after the dinosaur and the pirate boat rides) of all the choices at Peppa Pig Park. 

Mr. Bull’s High Striker 

Mr. Bull’s High Striker is a ride that goes up and down. It is the only ride our child did not go on since he’s a bit scared of sitting on his own and going up in a non-enclosed area. It is described as a junior drop ride, something my husband is also not a big fan of too. There are no queues for this ride during our visit. 

Playgrounds and Play Areas at Peppa Pig Florida Theme Park

There are a ton of playgrounds and play areas at Peppa Pig Florida. Here are a few that your child can play in if they don’t want to ride on any rides (or are tired of them). The theming of these playgrounds is all great, with lots of photo spots and cute Peppa Pig statues to take photos of throughout the park. 

Peppa’s Pedal Bike Tour

Peppa’s Pedal Bike Tour is divided into two parts: one for older children who can pedal their way around the small track. The track just goes in a circle, and the tricycles are available in different sizes. There is enough space for two tricycles to pass through the track at the time, so an older child can overtake a slower-moving younger child. Parents can also walk their children through the track, so you can guide your child through as they cycle. 

A second area for even smaller children who can be pushed on wagons and push tricycles by their parents. Shade is available in terms of a tent on the smaller track. This area has a gate so younger children can’t escape, while the bigger area is open. 

Campervan

They call this a campervan on the Peppa Pig map, but it is just a campervan that you can go in and out of and play. Not many children stay long in the campervan area, and my child got bored after 5 seconds of going to look inside it. It is, however, a good spot to get shade and sit down for a bit. 

George’s Fort

Think of a very easy hedge maze where you’ll end up in a fort with a little character inside and that’s George’s Fort. For younger kids (like a toddler), the hedge maze was hard at first, but after the first iteration, our boy became a pro. He found the character in the middle pretty quickly and spent a lot of time going out of the maze to go back into the fort. The fort and the maze do get pretty busy, as other kids find the novelty of going through the maze and the fort pretty fun. As a parent, do watch your head at the fort though! 

Peppa Pig’s Treehouse, Rebecca Rabbit’s Playground, and Grandpa Pig’s Greenhouse 

These three play areas are easily interchangeable with each other since they are within one big area in Peppa Pig. The treehouse is a playground with slides and stairs that are themed like a treehouse. Rebecca Rabbit’s playground is a series of tunnels that children can crawl in and out of, and the greenhouse is a bigger playground with taller slides for children. The kids can run anywhere they like, and there are benches for parents to sit in. You can also help your child through the playground if you so wish. There are a few statues of Peppa Pig characters that make for great photo spots, and they talk from hidden speakers when motion sensors are triggered. 

The ground is soft, so the children won’t have issues if they fall down. There is shade in the form of tarps on top of the play areas so the play areas are shaded from the sun. 

Madame Gazelle’s Nature Trail 

The theming of this nature trail is cute, with a lot of big rocks to jump and step on. It is connected to the playground area, as well, but with an actual ground area to play on. There are plants around the area and rocks on the side. We didn’t see many children playing in the area since it is not shaded, but it still has good theming. 

Muddy Puddles Splash Pad in Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida

Nothing beats the summer heat than playing in the water and Muddy Puddles Splash Pad delivers. It’s a mini water park catered to little ones with lifeguards manning the area. There are slides, splash fountains, and water features. We brought swimsuits and towels for everyone in our family, but note that there are no proper shower areas in Peppa Pig. 

Shows in Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida

There are two shows in Peppa Pig Theme Park in Florida, but our son is scared of characters so we did not get a chance to participate in any of them. These shows have Peppa Pig characters coming out to Mr. Potato’s Showtime Arena and singing, dancing, and having small games and challenges for the children (and parents too). Shows last between 10 to 15 minutes but you’ll have to check for actual show times on the day that you are visiting the park. 

Mr Fox’s Shop: the only store in Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida

Mr. Fox’s shop is the only store at  Peppa Pig Theme Park in Florida. Located near the entrance of the park, it sells Peppa Pig merchandise from plush toys, figures, and books. None of the souvenirs we saw mention Peppa Pig Florida, and they sell items that you can get in most toy, big box, or online stores. The merchandise is a little bit disappointing when we visited, but it’s got good theming inside the store. 

Where to Eat in Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida: Miss Rabbit’s Diner

Miss Rabbit’s Diner has children’s meals ranging from $8 to $11 and adult sandwiches starting from $12. While the menu is nothing too memorable, it is your only choice to grab food while in the park. You can expect service to be a bit slow during peak times when the park is super full. The diner serves milkshakes for $10 as of this writing, as well as coffee and sodas for $5 up. The prices are a bit steep. You will find that you can easily spend up to $50 for a meal.

The park allows you to bring a small cooler of food in the park. There is a picnic area to eat in. Packing food is one way to save money while also enjoying the park. We packed some sandwiches and a lot of snacks for the kid, which we prepared in advance. 

Is it worth it to go to Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida?   

We think so! The entrance fee is just $35 per person if you are just going to Peppa Pig Theme Park. Parking is an extra $23, so if you are a family of three, expect to pay $128 total. That’s roughly the cost of a Disney Magic Kingdom ticket for one person alone! Peppa Pig is smaller than other theme parks, but there are enough activities to do to spend the day here. 

You can save money if you don’t buy souvenirs, and if you pack your own food and drinks for your day out. All you’ll need to pay for is the entrance ticket for the family as well as parking.

When is the best time to visit Peppa Pig Theme Park in Florida? 

The best time to go to Peppa Pig Theme Park is during winter. This ranges from November to February when the weather is nice and cool and it does not rain as much. Winter is the high season in Florida, so expect crowds. The second best time to go is during the Spring, between March to May when the weather. You can also opt to go between September to October, but that is hurricane season. While the chance of having a hurricane directly hitting Florida while you are visiting is slim, it is still a possibility. 

The absolute worst time to visit Peppa Pig Theme Park is summer. The heat is unbearable with up to temperatures of 100F (38 Celsius), and frequent thunderstorms happening in the afternoon. If there is a thunderstorm, outdoor rides tend to close. This happens if there is lightning within a few miles of the park. If outdoor attractions close, everybody heads for the indoor attractions. This can lead to queues that can last up to an hour (or more) long.

Peppa Pig’s Theme Park in Florida has a lack of shaded areas. Since we left Peppa Pig at 11 AM, roughly 2 hours after we got there at 9 AM, we did not feel as hot as say, if one got there at 4 PM.  You will be advised by the employees before you go into the park if rain is forecasted. You may not get any rain checks in case of inclement weather, so best to keep that in mind. 

What are Peppa Pig Florida’s Hours

Peppa Pig Florida operates from 9 am to 5 pm (with an extra hour on certain days), from Mondays to Sundays. This means you can go to Peppa Pig before Legoland even opens and park close to the Legoland entrance to make it easy to exit if you’re driving a car. The theme park shares a general parking area with Legoland, and it is easy to walk from one park to another. 

Where to Park at Peppa Pig Theme Park in Florida?

The parking lot is shared between Legoland and Peppa Pig Theme Park. If you are heading to Peppa Pig before Legoland opens and anticipate finishing your day at Legoland, we would recommend parking closest to the Legoland entrance, in front of the covered preferred parking. This is a quicker way to get out of the park by driving, rather than walking back to your car if you parked it closer to Peppa Pig. The walk is around 5-10 minutes, depending on how fast you go. 

If traveling with a toddler, it’s easier to convince them to go on a stroller so it is easier to get around the park. 

What time does parking open at Peppa Pig and Legoland in Florida? 

We arrived at exactly 9 AM when we arrived at Peppa Pig, and the parking lot was already open. The parking lot does open at 9 AM if you are going to the Legoland parks, but if you arrive at 8:30 AM for Peppa Pig, it may just be open then.  

Where to Stay close to Peppa Pig Theme Park or Legoland in Florida

If you are coming in from Orlando, Peppa Pig should be around an hour and 15 minutes away when driving by car. If you want to be there during opening hours and don’t want to wake your children early, best to stay in the area. Here is a list of places to stay within a quick 20-minute drive from Legoland. 

Legoland Pirate Island Hotel and Legoland Hotel 

The closest hotel to Legoland and Peppa Pig is Legoland Pirate Island Hotel and Legoland Hotel. You park in the same parking lot as the theme park, and you can walk to the theme park from the hotel. If you’re tired, you could just go back to your room and nap, and go back to the park when you feel refreshed. 

Legoland Pirate Island Hotel has a huge pirate ship made from Lego bricks dotting the outside, it is a pretty hotel, with pretty steep prices per night. You can opt to do a package that includes entry to the park with a few nights’ stay in the hotel, and there are discounts available to Florida residents. 

Both hotels feature themed rooms with pirates, legos, adventure, and princesses. You can book standard rooms where the kids and parents share the room, or if you have the extra budget, you can opt to have the children sleep in their own room – connected to the parent’s room, of course. 

Legoland Beach Retreat

Across the street from Legoland is the Legoland Beach Retreat Hotel. Your room is located in a bungalow, which looks like they’re made from colorful Lego blocks. Most of the bungalows have water views, which face a lake. There is a playground, a man-made beach, and a big pool for children to enjoy while staying. You can walk to Legoland, but it may take at least 30 minutes from door to door. 

Holiday Inn Winter Haven 

If you are a travel hacker and want to stay using your points and miles or prefer to stay in chain hotels, then one of the closer hotels to Legoland is the Holiday Inn Winter Haven. Parking is free and is a quick 10-minute drive to Legoland. There are a ton of places to eat in the area, with strip malls and chain restaurants. Breakfast is not free, but Holiday Inn does have a kids eat free program, where an adult can pay for a meal and any child that stays with you in the hotel can eat for free. 

At the lobby of the Holiday Inn is a bellman made from Lego bricks. It is a cute photo spot for children and those who are visiting the hotel. There is a gym on the first floor that’s open 24/7. The front desk folk are very nice and welcome you to the hotel, and if you have IHG status, you can get upgraded to a room with a sofa, with a ton of space. 

Hampton Inn and Suites Winter Haven 

Right beside the Holiday Inn Winter Haven is the Hampton Inn and Suites Winter Haven. There is an outdoor pool you can enjoy, as well as free parking and free breakfast during your stay. We did not get to stay here, as both times that we visited Legoland, we stayed at the Holiday Inn Winter Haven. If you are a Hilton loyalist, then this could be a solid hotel to stay in as the price is cheaper than staying in Legoland hotels itself.
